Our services
We run dive trips every day, in small groups, depending on the weather, your wishes and your level, all under the supervision of our captains.
For every trip, the return transfer between your guesthouse or hotel (in Taiohae) and the dive centre, all the equipment needed for the activity and the snacks served on board are free of charge. Our team takes care of the heavy lifting of the equipment.
All our dives are supervised by qualified professionals. Sites are chosen on the day according to sea conditions and the participants’ wishes.
During your stay, you can dive every day except on the days you arrive and leave (a minimum interval of 12 hours after the last dive is required before an inter-island flight).

Exploration dives

Two successive dives
Morning · 7:30 AM to about 12:30 PM
Our flagship formula includes two successive dives. The first one usually takes place at a site away from Taiohae Bay.
The surface interval, of at least one hour, is spent on board in a sheltered area, a chance to enjoy Nuku Hiva’s exceptional scenery with snacks and hot drinks.
The second site is chosen according to what you saw on the first dive and your preferences.

Snorkeling

This trip lets participants discover the “Champ jaune” dive site with fins, mask and snorkel. And if manta rays are in the area, we will take you to admire these majestic animals.

Private dives
On request
You can charter our boat for an afternoon dive, two successive morning dives, a full day or even several days.
The boat will then be reserved entirely for you, with a captain and one or more dedicated instructors.
In addition to the services included in our group trips, you will enjoy the choice of dive sites (depending on the weather), more elaborate snacks and drinks, and bath towels.
You can also choose a private instructor on a shared boat, or ask for an instructor to join you directly on your own vessel.
Do not hesitate to contact us for any special request; we will be happy to offer you a tailor-made service suited to your wishes.

Groups, photographers and cruise passengers

Groups
Used to welcoming groups from associations, clubs, specialist dive travel agencies and other organisations, we will be delighted to organise your stay at our centre.

Photographers
Underwater photographers are also welcome at Nuku-Dive. Whether they love wide-angle or macro photography, we always enjoy showing them the underwater riches of Nuku Hiva.

Cruise passengers
Nuku-Dive welcomes all cruise passengers, subject to availability: we recommend booking as early as possible.
Given the specific landing and boarding times of the cruise ships that regularly call in our waters (Paul Gauguin, Silver Whisper, Riviera, Jacques Cartier, Zaandam, Star Breeze, Crystal Serenity, New Amsterdam, Amera, Vista, Scenic Eclipse…), we offer afternoon trips for an exploration dive, or a snorkeling trip if no dive is scheduled.
For regattas (World ARC, Oyster…), we offer participants our usual trips.
As the Aranui is one of our preferred partners, bookings and payments for its passengers are made directly with the Aranui, and we offer them our usual services.
